Forest bathing is something I have always done for peace of mind but we never called it that in the past; it was just spending some quiet time in the woods. It involves just sitting, walking slowly and really getting into the experience, noticing the little things, such as mushrooms, moss and fungi, immersion in the woods. So relaxing!

This is my first attempt at negative watercolor painting. Hope to try more, but I liked the soothing experience of trying this, forgetting about everything else, almost like forest bathing. :)

There is no AI art or photography on my site. The beauty of nature inspires my work. I especially enjoy floral photography, still life, and landscapes as well as working with a variety of subjects in my fine art, which includes colored pencil, watercolor and acrylic paintings. Most recently I have added several digital paintings combining hand paintings with digital enhancements or creating original photography inspired digital paintings from my own photography in addition to my exclusively hand painted or drawn works. Animals, birds, children, still life, and flowers are favorite subjects. I especially love capturing the personality of the animals that I paint through the expressions in their eyes.
