Description
The Jack O Lantern mushroom can be found at the base of trees in September in Pa. The rich golden orange color is the inspiration for the name. These resemble the edible chanterelle mushroom, but don't be fooled. This variety is mildly poisonous, generally not fatal but causing quite uncomfortable side effects if eaten. However, they are certainly beautiful to look at and even have the property of bioluminescence and glow at night.
