Description
A beautiful mountain lake in PA reflecting fluffy white clouds, and lily pads serenely drifting, make me wish that summer would never end on the first day of Autumn. Farewell to summer, it has been a great one!

If Summer never ended, life would be boring, don't you think? To paraphrase the world-renowned American author, Rachel Carson, there're something infinitely comforting, something so sweet, about the refrains of nature : Summer to Fall, Winter to Springs, then to now, and then, the promise of tomorrow. If I lived in places like southern California, I would be bored out of my mind. They don't have much of a change of seasons to speak of. It's always the same temperature, more or less, to the point where they don't even have weather forecast on TV.
Angela Davies replied:
True, I love the changes of season. Though, I have to admit winter lasts too long here! :)

F/L This is, indeed, an image of sweet memory and dreams. Summer has a lazy feel to it while Autumn is snappy and filled with energy. Summer colors are softer; Autumn colors are sharp. I'm never ready to move on from Summer but, as we mere mortals know, we can't stop the changing seasons from their appointed rounds:>) Beautiful image!
Angela Davies replied:
So true, and autumn has great beauty and lighting too, a photographer's dream. :)
