This watercolor was inspired a few years ago by a friend's adopted Jack Russell. You could just see the sadness and feeling of abandonment in his eyes, but a few months later he was a different fellow, playing tirelessly with his new greyhound friend. And he was the boss of the house too, no surprise to Jack Russell owners.

What a beautiful portrait, Angela. There were always Jack Russells at the equestrian center when my daughter rode horses. They were such special dogs, so sweet and at the same time...bossy. I loved them! F/L+++
