My Christmas Cactus is blooming for the first time this winter, so exciting! Hope you enjoy the universe on my windowsill. Happy Holidays to all!
This type of cactus belongs to the genus of cacti known as schlumbergera truncata and is also known as the "Thanksgiving cactus" as it blooms closer to Thanksgiving than Christmas, as mine has done. :)
There is no AI art or photography on my site. The beauty of nature inspires my work. I especially enjoy floral photography, still life, and landscapes as well as working with a variety of subjects in my fine art, which includes colored pencil, watercolor and acrylic paintings. Most recently I have added several digital paintings combining hand paintings with digital enhancements or creating original photography inspired digital paintings from my own photography in addition to my exclusively hand painted or drawn works. I am so happy for you that your Thanksgiving cactus bloomed! Mine is blooming profusely as well and it gives me great joy every year. I love the fantasy sky you have shown out the window. I believe there are two varieties of the Christmas cacti....one blooms at Christmas and the other, like mine and yours. blooms earlier, near Thanksgiving. Enjoy!
