Description
I love the personalities of cacti; they all have different shapes, sizes, and poses when grown together, not so different from us. When I spotted this grouping of cactus near a window at Longwood Gardens, I could imagine them gathered in the desert waiting for the sunrise with joy and admiration. I could almost hear them saying ahhh as the first warm rays caressed their faces. My imagination I know is working overtime. :) This is a photography inspired photopainting.
Some lessons from cactus:
We grow when things are hard.
Life can be thorny but it's still beautiful.
Thrive in the dry spells and stay sharp!

You've caught that feeling I often have when looking at cacti--of there being sentient personalities hiding under the planty camoflage.

My mom had quite a few cactus in the house. These were such a temptation to a kid . . . they look so soft . . . but I discovered that is not the truth! 😄 I love how you have made this feel like a landscape! . . . .f/l/tw
