A lady bug makes her way toward the top of a pastel pink tulip in early dawn. Tulips and spring, pure magic!

This drawing was inspired by my photograph One Red Tulip farther back in my gallery. It can be found in High Key Florals and The Flower Gallery on my site. I decided to make this tulip pink and added the red ladybug to honor the photographic reference color. :)

There is no AI art or photography on my site. The beauty of nature inspires my work. I especially enjoy floral photography, still life, and landscapes as well as working with a variety of subjects in my fine art, which includes colored pencil, watercolor and acrylic paintings. Most recently I have added several digital paintings combining hand paintings with digital enhancements or creating original photography inspired digital paintings from my own photography in addition to my exclusively hand painted or drawn works. Animals, birds, children, still life, and flowers are favorite subjects. I especially love capturing the personality of the animals that I paint through the expressions in their eyes.
