"Mauve is just pink trying to be purple." ~ James Whistler I happen to love mauve, it reminds me of sunrises and sunsets and in the lighter shades a new born baby. Such a delicate and feminine color with a calming effect. I captured this lily at a local farm which sells bulbs and has so many gorgeous and unique varieties, strolling through all the rows of colorful lilies with my camera was a great way to spend a summer afternoon.
