A few years ago I spotted a cat in a book shop in Manteo North Carolina. She was the shop mascot there for several years. I did this little pastel digital mixed media in her honor and all book loving felines just like her. Cats have a real talent for finding great places to hide and watch the world, many times on bookshelves, and in or on books, just like us. :)
There is no AI art or photography on my site. The beauty of nature inspires my work. I especially enjoy floral photography, still life, and landscapes as well as working with a variety of subjects in my fine art, which includes colored pencil, watercolor and acrylic paintings. Most recently I have added several digital paintings combining hand paintings with digital enhancements or creating original photography inspired digital paintings from my own photography in addition to my exclusively hand painted or drawn works. Animals, birds, children, still life, and flowers are favorite subjects. I especially love capturing the personality of the animals that I paint through the expressions in their eyes.
