Wishing you a winter filled with peace and wonder.
A male North American Cardinal waits patiently in a snowstorm for his lady love to join him at the feeder. I captured this handsome fellow a few years ago at my back yard feeder and decided to add some digital watercolor effects. However, it truly was snowing and so he is fluffed up to keep himself warm. I always marvel at the resilience of our tiny feathered friends as they survive the winter snow and ice storms with such dignity and calm. They serve as a good example for us.
There is no AI art or photography on my site. The beauty of nature inspires my work. I especially enjoy floral photography, still life, and landscapes as well as working with a variety of subjects in my fine art, which includes colored pencil, watercolor and acrylic paintings. Most recently I have added several digital paintings combining hand paintings with digital enhancements or creating original photography inspired digital paintings from my own photography in addition to my exclusively hand painted or drawn works. Animals, birds, children, still life, and flowers are favorite subjects. I especially love capturing the personality of the animals that I paint through the expressions in their eyes.
