Description

I captured this rhododendron blossom on a morning hike on July 4th 2021 on a favorite hiking trail near the Appalachian Trail at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains in Pa. The mountain rhododendron comes into full bloom during the 4th of July weekend and is so beautiful and fresh after a rain. It has quite a bit of pink when first opening and when fully opened is primarily white.
