Description
Only the grey old castle,
Of crumbling stone and lime,
Still stands to speak of the ages,
And the iron footsteps of Time. ~ excerpt from A Castle Old and Grey by Alexander Anderson
I captured Ross Castle in Kilarney while on vacation in Ireland eleven years ago to attend a wedding. It has always reminded me of a haunted castle; perhaps it is.

It's gorgeous, very unusual uneven turret plus your atmospheric toning of the photo. Congrats!

What a great scene...I can imagine the whispers as the breeze blows or the shouts as the wind howls. Neat image and presentation, Angela. - Mike (V)

Wow, I can feel the chill around this old castle, and perhaps it isn't just the climate - perhaps haunted, as you suggested? Beautiful capture vf

A dramatic, even mystical image. It evokes the times of knights and dragons, of King Arthur, Merlin, Lancelot and of all those elusive legends that never were - but which are always with us.

I love the mystery feeling coming out these ancient walls of Irish Castle, greatly composed and great dramatic feel, Angela!
