This work of art was inspired by a photograph of a rescued owlet with her new foster mother at a bird sanctuary. She fell from her nest this spring and was fortunate to be rescued by a friend of mine.
This was created with Prismacolor Premier Colored Pencils and is on archival Stonehenge 100% Cotton Paper.
There is no AI art or photography on my site. The beauty of nature inspires my work. I especially enjoy floral photography, still life, and landscapes as well as working with a variety of subjects in my fine art, which includes colored pencil, watercolor and acrylic paintings. Most recently I have added several digital paintings combining hand paintings with digital enhancements or creating original photography inspired digital paintings from my own photography in addition to my exclusively hand painted or drawn works. Animals, birds, children, still life, and flowers are favorite subjects. I especially love capturing the personality of the animals that I paint through the expressions in their eyes.
