Description
The wild variety of Poinsettia is actually a shrub or small tree which grows in Mexico and prefers dry conditions. The hot house variety has been genetically modified to be smaller and many colors are now available, making it hard to choose the one you will take home for the holiday season. But my favorite is the red, even though that comes in various shades now too. This is my colored pencil tribute to the versatile Poinsettia done in ink and Prismacolor Premier Colored pencil on drawing paper.
