Description
This is the first blossom for my Christmas cactus this year. It has an interesting story as it was a tiny cutting mailed to me by my brother out in the Midwest this summer and arrived in rough shape, but I planted it and right away it thrived. It is now covered with buds and should be a joy to behold for several weeks. I have added some digital painting touches to enhance the background. This variety of cactus usually starts blooming the week before Thanksgiving so could also be called a Thanksgiving cactus but is generally referred to as a Christmas cactus.
