Description
I have been watching the Olympic Dressage Competition of 2021 and it inspired me to find and post this older painting of mine which I did of a favorite horse who had some talent in the sport even though certainly not an Olympic hopeful. He had powerful hindquarters and could do a great third level extended trot across a dressage arena. But his sweet heart and gentle spirit was his true virtue. He would carry the most inexperienced riders out on trails and walk carefully with them as if on eggshells. I could always trust him to behave. He was a gentle giant at 16.3 hands and due to his paint breed background was very muscular even without a lot of work. Sure miss this guy and some of the fun we had together. This is done in tribute to the early morning, foggy work outs most riders do before performing at any horse show. The warm up is the most important part, right? :) This has been digitally edited and revised but was originally done in watercolor and entitled Good Hands.

Your beautiful gallery gives me reason to believe that you're quite a nature lover, especially an animal lover. If that is the case, you're blessed with a genuinely loving heart, my lady. You make the world a lovelier place for us all through your artistic talent, Angela. Keep up the superb job.
